Tinyerp project rename and ownership change

Asked by Carlos Perelló Marín

Two weeks ago, I contacted by email with Anders Wallenquist (https://launchpad.net/~aw) which is the owner of the tinyerp project in Launchpad (https://launchpad.net/tinyerp). I asked him to rename it to OpenERP, just to reflect the upstream name change (http://www.tinyerp.org/index.html). I didn't get any answer yet.

Looking at google, you can see that Anders registered tinyerp in Launchpad because he was interested in translate it into Swedish so I guess he's not really an official upstream member.

I wonder whether you could rename it from TinyERP to OpenERP, and maybe later, in a month or two, if Anders didn't answer my email, you could give me the ownership of the project.

I'm not directly involved with upstream but I'm interested on getting a bzr mirror of their SVN repository, and thus, a rename should be enough for me to prevent branch's URL change later.

Cheers.

Upstream is moving to use Launchpad, thus, https://launchpad.net/openerp already exists. I'm not sure what to do now with the old project name, maybe transfer the ownership to them (https://launchpad.net/~fp-tinyerp)?

You can see that they are moving officially to Launchpad from http://openerp.com/wiki/index.php/Community:How_To_Contribute#Introduction

Sounds to me like we'd want to delete the tinyerp project? I'll try contacting Anders Wallenquist and see what he suggests.

Can you help with this problem?
