Unable to import new PGP key. Stuck in login loop.

Asked by Scott Moore

I pasted my PGP fingerprint and clicked Import Key. I was then taken to the Ubuntu One login screen (although I'm already logged in). So I enter my email address and password and I'm taken back to the screen where I can paste my fingerprint, as if nothing had happened. I also waited for a verification email that never arrived.

Changing your SSH keys, OpenPGP keys or email addresses requires you to reauthenticate, to prevent someone from hijacking an existing browser that you've left logged in.

So visit the page, log in again when prompted, and ensure you submit the form within a few minutes. If you wait too long, you'll have to reauthenticate and enter the key fingerprint again.

After closing the browser window and revisiting the site, I was able to get this to work. It appears that the page had indeed timed out but there was no indication of that and I was stuck in a loop. Thanks!
