Renaming project needed

Asked by Jay Pipes

Hi!

We are looking to organize the MySQL server project better under Launchpad as well as make it easier to tell which branches are official MySQL ones and which are fully community-driven.

In order to do this, we'd like to do the following:

* Rename the existing mysql project to mysql-server
* Create a project group called "mysql"

Once this is done, I will put mysql-server under the mysql project group, and I will create a new project called "sakila-server" for community-driven mysql server releases and assign this to the mysql project group.

Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks much!

Yes, definitely, I will work with the owners of those projects to add them into the project group.

I've renamed mysql to mysql-server and setup a mysql project group. Who should be the "driver" for the new project group? Would that be the mysql-developers team?

The ~mysql team would be a good driver. Thanks!

Per IRC with mtaylor, it's been assigned to ~mysql.

Thanks, Tom
