Please change owner of gaim project to the pidgin-developers team

Asked by Richard Laager

Given that the gaim project in Launchpad can't be merged into Pidgin (https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/32310), I'd like to see it reassigned to the pidgin-developers team so that I can start moving a few things over by hand.

The current maintainer for the "gaim" project in Launchpad is Felipe Gil Castiñeira (xil). Have you tried contacting Felipe, and is he okay with the transfer of ownership?

Thanks, Tom

No, I haven't. I have no idea who that is. He's not an upstream developer nor the Debian package maintainer, so I don't know where that came from. I think the fact that Gaim has been renamed to Pidgin is pretty well known, but here's a reference: http://digg.com/software/Gaim_is_now_Pidgin

Also, FYI, I'm an upstream Pidgin developer. You can check my Launchpad account. I have a confirmed @pidgin.im e-mail address.

Done! It's great to have upstreams in Launchpad, and I apologize for the lack of project-merging -- we're going to be working on this post-July..
