How to rebuild after "Could not be uploaded correctly"

Asked by Daniel

First, I build the following recipe for Xenial and Yakkety (as far as I remember):
https://code.launchpad.net/~hackie/+recipe/igotu2gpx-daily

This worked fine for xenial, yaketty didn't compile. Then I requested more build, for wily, trusty and vivid. This resulted in the error message "Could not be uploaded correctly". I understand the problem that there are multiple source packages with different checksums now and thus incompatible. But how to solve this problem?

I already deleted all packages of this ppa, but it's still not possible start a new (successful) build for the releases I want. What do I have to do to republish these builds

It's not possible to upload a different package with the same version. But are you sure you need to rebuild them at all? If only yakkety failed the first time, then it's fine if the others failed this time.

If you really want fresh builds, you'll need to change the version. Given your current version template, the easiest way to do that is to commit to one of the branches.

Today it happened again. I clarify: The problem mainly appears when I manually request a new build but have the job marked as "daily build". The auto build doesn't honour the manually requested build and tries to build the same version again, which obviously doesn't work
