"Reply-to" parameter in mailing lists

Asked by Mariano Mara

We started using the LP's mailing list today.
Users in the list claim that when they try to reply they get the sender address instead of the team's mailing list address. I failed to find how to modify this as I usually do with other mailman's lists.
Hope you guys can tell where to find this configuration parameter (pretty sure it's really a newbie question) to set it right.

TIA,
Mariano.

Launchpad's mailing lists do not add a Reply-To header. Users must use their mailer's "reply to all" button to send a response back to the mailing list. If we were to modify Reply-To then users would not be able to send a private response. I hope this helps.

Sorry for the previous comments.

For the records, I accidentally came across these two links, thanks to bug #334064 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bug/334064) :
- con munging : http://www.unicom.com/pw/reply-to-harmful.html
- pro munging : http://www.metasystema.net/essays/reply-to.mhtml

Hope this will help other upsetted newbies…

IMO the main (and only) valid point of not munging is the "Can't Find My Way Back Home" one. But, damn valid point.
