nano is running ten years late

Asked by Benno Schulenberg

On https://launchpad.net/nano/head the latest version of nano is given as 1.9.99pre3, which is nearly ten years old. But development has rolled on since then, and the latest version is in fact 2.6.2 -- which is currently in Yakkety Yak. Could that page be updated, or the underlying data be squeezed, to get it to show the actual latest version?

Also, on https://code.launchpad.net/nano, the source code is said to reside in an SVN repo. But the code has moved to git four months ago, and is now located at: git://git.savannah.gnu.org/nano.git . Please update the URL -- or give me (the upstream maintainer) the access rights to do so.

I've updated the URL used to find nano releases. I believe the script that checks that runs daily, so let us know if it doesn't look better tomorrow.

lp:nano is now a git import, as requested.

The git import is okay now. But on https://launchpad.net/nano the latest tarball is still shown as 1.9.99pre3.
