Please rename a team

Asked by Andrea Corbellini on 2008-05-01

Hi, could you please rename <https://launchpad.net/~beeseek-core-devs> to <https://launchpad.net/~beeseek-users>?

I cannot do it by myself because there was an active Mailing List and, after deactivating it, the archives were not deleted. Is it the correct behavior or may I report a bug?

The team has been renamed.

Thanks Herb McNew, that solved my question.

Andrea, the fact that the mailing list was deactivated at the time may have thrown a wrinkle into the job of doing the rename. Please let us know if you have any problems!

Barry, thank you for your help. The mailing list does not work. Could you fix it, please?

Andrea,

Can you explain in more detail what's broken? Does the message just disappear without a trace? Do you get a bounce? Is something else going wrong?

The link to the mailing list archives is not shown (but the archives exist) and in the +mailinglist page I see this error message:
This team's mailing list could not be created. Please contact a Launchpad administrator for further assistance.

I didn't tried to send an e-mail. Should I?

Reopening the question.

Hi Andrea. Let me try to get some help from the admins. We'll figure it out.

Surely, thanks!

Hi Andrea,

We think we've solved the problem. Much thanks to Tom Haddon. Let us know if this solves the problem for you.

Set status of mailing list to APPROVED. All other data looked good.

The list name shown in the subject of the mails is the old team name: http://lists.launchpad.net/beeseek-users/

Fixed. See if that does the trick for you.

It works now. Thanks Barry and Tom for help!

Thanks Barry Warsaw, that solved my question.
