Unauthorised contributions to Danish translations

Asked by TLE

Hey
I am the coordinator of the Danish translation effort in Ubuntu. I was under the impression that all translations into Danish in launchpad was restricted to the Danish translation team https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-da , but still I keep seeing people that are not members make contributions, sometimes of _very_ questionable quality, can someone explain to me what is going on? An example would be the translations of this guy https://translations.launchpad.net/~fuck-os which are very bad and deffinitely _not_ approved by me.
Regards Kenneth Nielsen (TLE)

I'm already handling this on IRC. But just to keep a record of it here.

From what I see, that user is just adding suggestions which is not blocked, but those translations will not be used unless someone with permissions approve it. Is there any example of a place where you saw one of his translations used but that is not supposed to be approved by anyone from your team?

TLE> ohh this is so embarrasing, yes you are right, however if you look at this translation:
     https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/gutsy/+source/kubuntu-docs/+pots/basic-concepts/da/+translate?batch=10&show=translated
TLE> you can see that it is mainly translated by John R. Meyer during 2007, this should be after the translations and the team was made
restricted and I don't have how registered as being or having been a member of the group
TLE> err: don't have him regis..
TLE> these translatios are actually good, but I still don't understand how this happens
TLE> oh worry yes he was, sorry sorry sorry
TLE> just forget about it, I think I should go and do my homework
TLE> sorry for wasting everybodys time
