Color change for visited questions/bugs in Launchpad?

Asked by douglas_smith

Just a suggestion for Launchpad, using edge.

How about having visited URLs (questions, bugs, etc) change to red if they have been visited already in a session? This change would make it obvious to users if they have already viewed a question or bug. All visited links currently remain blue.

The visited link changes color. It's a little subtle as it changes to another shade of blue.

A little subtle? It's indistinguishable to me. Maybe I'm colorblind.
I didn't think I was... but I can't see a difference.
I don't wear one black sock and one blue one, or at least no one has pointed it out to me...
=)

Why not make it bloody obvious and have the visited link turn RED.

I suspect the brightness of your display needs adjusting. I can see visited links as faded blue.

The main reason for not making visited links red to pop from the page is because they will distract users from the task they want to perform. the state of a link should not change the importance of the other links on the page.

Are visited links still a problem in the new UI?

Can you help with this problem?
