The Bislama language

Is there any indication when this language project will start?

I am from Australia not Vanuatu, a friend is giving a laptop to a school there and was asking about language.

If I could get you contacts in Vanuatu would someone be willing to work with us on some translation.

Getting us contacts in Vanuatu directly is unlikely to be a very productive approach; Launchpad does not have a large staff and we don't have much time to coordinate with translators directly. You could point them at the documentation on https://help.launchpad.net/Translations and/or at the https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-translators mailing list, though.
