Some of these are original spam, while others are people quoting the entire spam when they reply in confusion/annoyance, repeating the spam URL.

Most of those were already gone; Google's just behind the times. I've removed the remaining few.

I’m scratching my head as to why you think “Most of those were already gone”. Maybe you’re using your browser’s Find command before it has a chance to load all the comments? Or maybe you’re overlooking the cases where Launchpad collapses quoted text containing the spam. Anyway, not only were they not gone then, but 10 out of the 18 are still there right now:

I've removed the leftover comments that quoted spam.

It's not currently possible to remove comments from merge proposals.

Verified that the bug spam is gone this time.

I see that inability to hide/delete merge proposal comments is reported as bug 697495. In the meantime, as suggested in that bug, perhaps you could use SQL to edit the comment text rather than deleting the comment altogether?

Can you help with this problem?
