Renaming teams and downloading launchpad team mailing list archives

Asked by Elias Psallidas

Hello,

On behalf of the Ubuntu GNOME team, I'd like to ask some help regarding the re-naming of two launchpad teams and receiving some mailing list archives in the form of a compressed file (or any other way).

To get to the point, the model of operation of the Ubuntu GNOME Project is currently going through some crucial changes. Part of those changes include:

   1) Renaming the URL of the team: ~ubuntugnome-website (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugnome-website) to ~ubuntu-gnome-website. I know it can be done via the team's settings, but I'd like to know if this change could break the connection/access to its project which is the website of Ubuntu GNOME. - DONE

   2) Renaming the URL of the team: ~ubuntugnome-qa (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugnome-qa) to ~ubuntu-gnome-qa, same for its mailing list address, but keeping the mailing list archives of the existing mailing list.

   3) Receive the mailing list archives in compressed files for the teams:
      ~ubuntugnome-artwork (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugnome-artwork)
      ~ubuntugnome-comms (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugnome-comms)
      ~ubuntugnome-marketing (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugnome-marketing)
      ~ubuntu-gnome-leaders-board (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-gnome-leaders-board)
      ~ubuntu-gnome-packaging (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-gnome-packaging)
      ~ubuntugnome-qa (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugnome-qa)

We are planning to delete the first 5 teams (as of now, we are not gonna be using them), but we'd like to keep their mailing list archives, so for the work that has been done via them not to go to waste. We are also planning for a slow migration of the last team (it is also the one that we'd like to rename) into a new team, as we rebuild the structure of the Ubuntu GNOME Project from scratch.

Are those (3) requests possible?

Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Elias Psallidas (eliasps [AT] ubuntu [DOT] com)

That's all sorted for you now (mostly thanks to Jacek for the sysadmin work).
