Please add existing milestones to new series

Asked by Andreas Hasenack

Landscape project.

So far, we have been using just a single series called "trunk" and added many milestones to it.

Now we would like to switch over to using more series.

I have created some new series and would like to move the existing milestones into their respective series.

Series: mthood
Milestones to be moved into it:
mthood-pre-1
mthood-pre-2
mthood-pre-3
mthood

Series: montroyal
Milestones to be moved into it:
montroyal-pre-1
montroyal-pre-2
montroyal-pre-3
montroyal-pre-4
montroyal-pre-5
montroyal-pre-6
montroyal-pre-7
montroyal

Series: euphrates
Milestrones to be moved into it:
euphrates-pre-1
euphrates-pre-2
euphrates-pre-3
euphrates-pre-4
euphrates-pre-5
euphrates

Thanks

Thanks!

However, when I see https://bugs.launchpad.net/landscape/mthood/, the bug count is zero. Since it now has the mthood* milestones, the bugs attached to the milestones should be part of this series. The same probably happens for the other series as well (I didn't check because most of the other series, if not all, have inactive milestones and only closed bugs).

Hi,

As discussed on IRC, today the inheritance is not automatic. Perhaps it should be and a bug filed about it. Further discussion should be had though to ensure that forcing this workflow won't cause issues for others.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Andreas Hasenack for more information if necessary.
