Gimp 2.9.3~32-0t0~ppa requires GEGL version 0.3.6 or later.

Asked by Davide Marchi

Hi friends,
I've upgraded two days ago Gimp beta version (otto-kesselgulasch-gimp-edge-trusty) on Ubuntu 14.04 amd but now it cannot run, and tell me:

/////////////
GEGL version too old!

GIMP requires GEGL version 0.3.6 or later.
Installed GEGL version is 0.3.5.

Somehow you or your software packager managed
to install GIMP with an older GEGL version.

Please upgrade to GEGL version 0.3.6 or later.

You'll need to contact the owner of that PPA for support. Launchpad itself just deals with building and hosting.

https://launchpad.net/~otto-kesselgulasch is the owner of the PPA you're using and has contact information.
