golang1.4 ppa from evarlast is missing

Asked by Janek Warchoł

There used to be a PPA with go programming language here: https://launchpad.net/~evarlast/+archive/ubuntu/golang1.4

I get an error if i go to that url now, but you can see how it looked in Google cache: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:O4QCs0OopPgJ:https://launchpad.net/~evarlast/%2Barchive/ubuntu/golang1.4+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

Accordingly, when I try to add a ppa with apt I get this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:evarlast/golang1.4
Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:evarlast/golang1.4'.
Please check that the PPA name or format is correct.

What happened to that repo? Will it be back, or what should I use instead?

PPAs are operated by their owners, not by Launchpad staff. In this case, it looks like the owner (~evarlast) deleted their PPA, and you'll have to ask them directly to find out the answers to your questions.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Janek Warchoł for more information if necessary.
