Need to remove email posted by mistake from an ticket

Asked by Khalid Baheyeldin

I posted a comment on an issue, and someone followed up on it by email including my email address in his comment.

Can you please edit out the email address?

Thanks

As a policy we do not edit user comments; it's unfortunate but disclosing an email address is not grounds to break that policy.

In this case it is a request from the author of the comment to do so, and not something the admin does on their own.

So, in my opinion, the above policy is not applicable.

Remember that I had no control on someone doing a reply to their email and launchpad having the Reply-To: set as launchpad itself, not the comment author, and including my email publicly, so I receive more spam.

At least launchpad.net could obfuscate the email address like most mailing lists do.

Please find a solution to this. Just quoting the policy does not help.
