Country where Sanskrit *used* to be spoken

For what it's worth, Sanskrit *used* to be spoken in India. I don't know how much relevance this has for a dead language.

Probably not much, but thanks for thinking of it. Forms of Sanskrit are also still used in some other countries as well AFAIK, for religious purposes, but transcribed into local scripts.
