how do i get past home screen it wont load

every time I go to launch pad all it does is load the main screen with the word launch pad with the colorful circles I am three weeks behind in work because it wont load

I'm afraid you've got the wrong Launchpad. This is the support page for launchpad.net, a software project hosting site. I think you are probably talking about the learning system, http://www.macmillanhighered.com/launchpad, which has nothing to do with us; there are some links there under "Get Support" which may help you.
