Request for extra PPA quota

Asked by Benjamin Bach

Dear Launchpad team,

We're building an open source offline version of Khan Academy for schools that cannot be online to stream videos etc. This includes a rather huge chunk of data (not the videos, just exercises!).

https://launchpad.net/~learningequality/+archive/ubuntu/ka-lite/+packages

Currently, we're in the beta stages and in creating the source package, I've upped a lot of new builds.

1. I can see that we're reported to use 2.2 GiB of space currently, although I've requested deletion on a number of occasions... but I'm not sure if that number actually matches the packages that are active... I'm also able to copy binary packages exceeding the 2.0 GiB quota.

2. We'll move the big package (ka-lite-bundle) to a separate PPA as soon as we have resources to do this.. the reason for this request is just I'm worried we'll get halted in the current process since our quota is displaying red numbers ATM.

3. No one is intended to be subscribing to a PPA with 350 MB packages, we ideally use Launchpad for the build process -- the reason why the .deb is so big is to have a portable .deb for taking to offline environments.. we'll make sure to build these .debs in less public environments.

Best,
Benjamin

Old packages can take up to 24 hours to be deleted, so if you're uploading big things several times a day you'll hit the limit.

I've increased that PPA's quota to 10GiB.

Thanks so much!!

This will be very sufficient! I'll try my best to remember to update this post when our quota needs are resolved.
