Can I use Launchpad translation tool for my new language variants

In Launchpad, can I create a new variant of my language such as vi@north (the Vietnamese variant used by north people) and use rosetta tool for it?

I guess the answer is NO.

I can only use Launchpad translation tool for a new language code if it is registered to ISO 639. Is it correct?

Correct, you need an ISO 639 code. Then we'll be happy to add it.
