Merging Launchpad accounts

Asked by moorkaï

Good day Launchpadians!

I made bit of a mess with my Launchpad accounts, and I would like to make this wrong right. I somehow succeeded to make a duplicate account (~moorkai-3) with my alias email, whereas the former account is neatly called only "moorkai". I want to merge them both into just "moorkai" (or ~moorkai). There's an empty PPA on moorkai-3 which I don't know how to remove anymore in order to complete the merger as I have lost access to the account due to a stupid mistake.
Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
moorkaï

Log in as ~moorkai-3, delete the PPA, wait 20 minutes for the PPA to completely go away, then log in as ~moorkai and request the merge at https://launchpad.net/people/+requestmerge.

I can't log in as ~moorkai-3 anymore. I have permanently deleted the Ubuntu One account for it once I found out I made a dupe not knowing there's a simple solution to merge accounts...

It won't prevent me from sleeping at night, but I would like to clean this mess on Launchpad. I don't have normal access to the ~moorkai-3 account anymore (deleted its Ubuntu One accounts), so I would be grateful for any kind of help.

I've deleted ~moorkai-3's PPA, so you should be able to request the merge now as long as you have access to the account's email address.

Didn't know it would automatically send a message, but yes, that wonderfully solved my problem. Thank you!

This message ought to be some kind of a more proper, human-like way to express gratitude, instead of leaving it to Launchpad to thank you with its template-based messages :P.
