Import branch from exiv2 repo failed

Asked by Alan Pater

I've been trying to update https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-desktop/exiv2/trunk

It keeps failing. On one attempt it got most of the way, and failed with the following:

There seems to be another exiv2 branch that has not been updated for years.

https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-desktop/exiv2/ubuntu

Does the branch need to be eliminated and then re-added?

I just tried again and it failed with the same error.

bzr-svn needs to import the branch's history, so it's not sufficient to remove the bad filename from the current state of the repository. It is not possible for Launchpad to import that repository into Bazaar itself.

You may be able to find an external application other than bzr-svn that can convert it to Bazaar. Alternatively, Launchpad will be gaining Git support for most of its functionality over the next few months, which might make things easier than regularly importing the repo into Bazaar.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Alan Pater for more information if necessary.
