Why can't I add an upstream bug using "Also affects project"?

I'm trying to add an upstream bug I created to a bug report, and Launchpad does not recognize the URL. The bug is https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxsession/+bug/1347402 and the upstream bug is at https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/bugs/726/

When I try to enter this in the first box (" I have the URL for the upstream bug:"), I receive this error message: "Launchpad does not recognize the bug tracker at this URL."

Launchpad bug watches don't yet support SourceForge's new bug tracker.
