Branding updated but not appearing to change

Asked by Wise Melon

I have changed my "Branding" (specifically I have uploaded a new "Mugshot" as it is called), but even though in the settings it says that that is the image which is current and it even has a picture of that image, but when I go to my page: https://launchpad.net/~yerenkov-scott/

It is still the default one. So I was just wondering why this is the case? Is it just that it takes some time to update around the site? Or is it some sort of bug? I have even refreshed my cache for my profile page but it still has the old default image.

That page displays the 64x64 "logo" image. You need to set that, as we don't automatically resize images.

No, I am talking about the "Mugshot" one and not the "Logo". I have not changed the "Logo" one. For the one I have changed it says "192x192" pixels, and I created an image specifically for that purpose and of that size. Here is a screenshot of that section: http://i.imgur.com/yvGsrE2.png

Ah, I see the confusion now: the description of the mugshot field is out of date.

The smaller logo is now used on your home page, not the mugshot.

So is the mugshot setting now obsolete?

The only place it's currently used on the main Launchpad.net website is on a team's mugshots page, eg. <https://launchpad.net/~launchpad/+mugshots>. Some third-party websites also use the mugshot.
