Please change the owner of the openconnect project to the openconnect team

Asked by Mike Miller

Can a Launchpad admin please set the owner of the project page at https://launchpad.net/openconnect to be the ~openconnect team? This project page (OpenConnect ETL) has existed for longer than I have been using Launchpad, but it has had no code, bugs, or other activity ever associated with it. It seems to me to be just a placeholder that is serving no purpose to the Launchpad community.

The reason for wanting to take it over is to rebrand it and point the project at the OpenConnect VPN upstream project, which happens to have the same name. The Ubuntu source package "openconnect" is also for the OpenConnect VPN software project, not OpenConnect ETL. Previously, I have simply been ignoring this OpenConnect ETL project, and removing any upstream links that were added to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openconnect. This continues to be a point of confusion for many Launchpad users, though, who keep adding links between the Ubuntu source package and this project page, even though this is not the correct upstream project.

Now someone has gone ahead and imported the OpenConnect VPN project's code into https://code.launchpad.net/openconnect and started a daily build recipe. This means that the project is now de facto being used for the OpenConnect VPN, even though the owner of the project and the description have nothing to do with OpenConnect VPN. It seems to me this was done about 2 months ago, and the current owner of the openconnect project has not objected or changed anything. I believe it is an abandoned project and should be repurposed for the OpenConnect VPN project. Thanks.

I've renamed the existing project ot https://launchpad.net/openconnect-etl. You can create your project now, and then we can transfer the existing imports across.
