How do I get svn import from google code to work

I cannot get svn import from googlecode.com to work consistenly. Of the three projects i have tried to import only one has worked so far. Both the others fail in random different places. The last one I tried was from http://libmini.googlecode.com/svn/libmini/mini the log is here.

http://launchpadlibrarian.net/187328507/rogerjames99-libmini-trunk.log

Is there a more reliable way to do this import? Do https imports work better?

Google Code's Subversion server is a bit flaky. But we've succesfully imported 500 of the 5200 revisions so far, so it should be done in a day or so.
