import request: catalyst

Asked by tarsius

Please import the subversion trunk of `catalyst' to bzr.

I have created a few more projects that also mirror subversion but for those unlike `catalyst' there is only a "Timeline" section on the overview page, no "Latest Branches". Do I have to wait for that to appear before asking for trunk to be imported for those projects until that happens?

Also how do I see that an import was successful? For `catalyst' the import status on https://launchpad.net/catalyst/trunk is still "Testing".

The other projects (gentoolkit, portage, genkernel) I attempt to mirror in bzr come from the same source (http://www.gentoo.org), use subversion also and where registered shortly after `catalyst', that is two days ago, but their status has not changed yet (no "Latest Branches" has appeared).

Thx for your help

The catalyst import is complete now, as is gentoolkit.

portage and gentoolkit are in progress.

Were there any others?

Thanks.

One small problem though: for catalyst there are now two branches called `trunk' one that "has not been tested yet" and the one that you mirrored. I don't think I have done anything differently for those two projects.

There is one more branch that I did not ask to be mirrored yet: `portage tree'. But it should actually be called portage-x86 like in upstream. Could you please remove it or if that is possible rename it. If renaming is possible please mirror it, otherwise delete it and I will recreate it and ask for it to be mirrored again.

I would like to mirror more of the repositories at http://sources.gentoo.org. I am interested in about 10 of them and there are 40 in total. Would it be okay if I added 10-15 of them now and possibly eventually all?

Also all of these projects should be part of the umbrella "Gentoo Linux" project. Does one have to be a gentoo developer to become member of "Gentoo Members"? Otherwise you would like to become one. Then I could also change the branding to use the "g" logo.

If you make those project subprojects of "Gentoo Linux" and I can not become member of "Gentoo Members" will I keep control over the subprojects to the extend I have now? I have not appointed myself as Driver yet because I would like to first to announce these mirrors on the gentoo-dev mailinglist one a few projects have successfully

been mirrored. And then see if any developer want to become the driver.

Thx again for your help

You mean this branch:

   https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~tarsius/catalyst/trunk

? This way of mirroring branches only works for Bazaar branches, not for subversion ones. You probably want to delete this branch.

For the other requests, it would be best to file (separate!) questions on the 'launchpad' project, I don't have the admin rights necessary to help you myself.

For the other repositories you are interested it, sure request a way. It makes my life easier if you could request each import in a separate question, that way it's easier to track the status of each import.

BTW, the portage import failed due to a hopefully transient network error -- these imports would go faster and a lot more reliably if you could get repository dumps for the repositories you are interested in.

I think all the imports you have requested are running now.

Please ask separate questions for any more that you want.

I hope you enjoy using launchpad!
