Can you provide me with more information about this project -- what sort of products it will contain, what's the charter for it, and the project homepage? The information on the existing intro2it is pretty sparse.

The intro2it super-project will contain curriculum materials for an Introduction to Information Technology course that we are developing for use within Arlington Public Schools, Arlington, VA. The materials will be freely available under the GNU FDL and the final product will be hosted on the OpenBookProject web site: http://openbookproject.net.

Among the sub projects will be: computer networking, computer hardware, programming, databases, computer graphics, binary, decimal, and hexadecimal arithmetic, web design, and others.

The course materials will focus on the use of free software and open standards, and will include activities which make use of the XO (from the OLPC project). The educational materials will be marked up in obpdoc, a spinoff from twisted lore.
