How to delete obsolete translation templates

Asked by GunChleoc

Due to some refactoring, we now have 4 obsolete translation templates in the Widelands project https://translations.launchpad.net/widelands/trunk/+templates

I have already deactivated them and renamed the templates / changed the paths to "obsolete1" - "obsolete4". Can they be completely deleted instead?

Deactivating a template prevents normal users from seeing it, but it's not possible to completely delete them.

Does it have any effect on the PPAs to have some deactivated templates kicking around (c.f the related bug)?

Launchpad's automatic translation exports to branches never touch templates that have been deactivated, so that shouldn't be a problem.

OK, we can live with the dead templates then. Thanks!

It would be nice to have a delete option though. With the appropriate "Yikes! Are you sure?!!!" nags, of course.
