New project group "oslo" for OpenStack

Asked by Thierry Carrez

Hi,

"Oslo" is the name of a collection of shared libraries across OpenStack components. It's currently tracked under a single launchpad project ("oslo") which was fine when they all shipped from a single code repository (called oslo-incubator), but now that they are also shipped from individual repositories it doesn't work so well. So we'd like to:

- Rename the current "oslo" launchpad project to "oslo-incubator"
- Create an "oslo" project group to be able to track all oslo projects at once

Let me know if that sounds possible. Thanks in advance for your support!

Oslo is part of the OpenStack project group at present, and a project may only be in one project group at a time, so you'd have to remove it from OpenStack. Do you still want the new Oslo-specific project group?

Yes, remove it from the openstack project group, and make the (renamed) oslo-incubator part of the oslo project group instead.

https://launchpad.net/oslo exists now. You can move the old project into it at https://launchpad.net/oslo-incubator/+edit.
