LaunchPad won't send password reset to legit account

Asked by George Duimovich

I have a LP account using email "<email address hidden>"

Despite LP reporting "no account associated with" my email, I can confirm that this email is registered by opening up second account and viewing my original account's profile page to view the registered email on my original account.

I can copy / paste that valid email into login and request "send instructions" to that account for password reset, but I keep getting "no account associated with" my original email. Then of course, I'll get an email to my inbox stating "This email address is however not associated with any Launchpad Login Service accounts" etc.

Haven't posted in a long time so is it possible my account got disabled somehow?

Follow-up -- last email that I have on file to my inbox from LaunchPad was sent to me Mon 11/11/2013.

I can also confirm it was sent to the same email address that is registered in my profile page but that LP thinks there is "no account associated" with it.

And I can send a message from my second LP account to my original email / LP account using the LP web contact form. And LP sends it to my original '<email address hidden>' account no problems.

SSO (ie. login) email addresses are separate from the ones you see on user profile pages, and can be changed directly at https://login.launchpad.net/. The SSO account linked to your other Launchpad account indeed has a different email address, of the form <email address hidden>. If that doesn't jog your memory, let me know and I'll send it to you privately.

Can you help with this problem?
