Can I set up a second German language translation for my project

Asked by Son Nguyen

Hello,

Currently, we use the translation interface for German. However, we would need a second German language pack because our users want to be able to provide a lang pack in formal German ("Sie") and in informal German ("Du").

At the moment, it is not possible to set up another German lang pack. It would be similar to English, English (UK), English (Canada) and English (Australia). Would it be possible to have this set up please?

Thank you
Son

It's not possible to have additional variants of German. Your application will need to choose a single style.

I found several German language versions in some projects like 'cologne' or 'lower saxony'. They are local languages or dialects spoken in Germany. Is it possible to handle de_du as dialect?
