Barbican Juno M1 - No 'make announcement' link

Asked by John Wood

Hello folks,

I was able to make a release for Barbican Juno M1 (thanks!), but I no longer see a 'Make Announcement' link off of the Overview page: https://launchpad.net/barbican

If possible, could someone see if the root issue with the missing link is a permissions one?

Thanks,
John

Only the project owner has ever been able to make announcements.

I originally created LP site (https://launchpad.net/barbican) and have been able to make announcements for the previous releases of Barbican. Is it possible I'm no longer considered to be a project owner though? Can more than one person be setup as a project owner (as we have multiple folks on the team that could do releases)?

Thanks,
John

The owner (also known as the maintainer) on https://launchpad.net/barbican is ~openstack-admins, of which you're not a member.

Ah ha, thanks William.

My hunch is that no one on our team is a maintainer now. If that's the case, then is there a process to request members (such as myself) to be granted the maintainer role?

Thanks,
John

You'll need to talk to ~openstack-admins about that.

A Launchpad project has a single maintainer, which is either a person or a team. A team can contain people and other teams, and the maintainer can transfer the project to any other person or team.
