want to install jmf2.1.1e from Sun Oracle

Asked by Mark Childs

Is there a ppa or other easy means of installing Java's Java Meda Framework (jmf2.1.1e) as the download on Oracle for linux is not right ? Could there be a ppa created for jmf2.1.1e ?

Perhaps one of the results from https://www.google.com/search?q=java+media+framework+site%3Alaunchpad.net will help. If not, then I'm afraid we only maintain the launchpad.net hosting site here; we can't help you with making new software available on it.

Yep, I still need help in getting a good known working model of jmf2.1.1e as there seems to be a problem at launchpad and the linux performance pack download at Orcacle is bad. I'm also concerned if the jmf2.1.1e will operate correctly on Ubuntu 64bit ?

This is the tracker for support for the Launchpad.net project hosting service itself. We can't provide support for projects hosted on our service. Contact the relevant project maintainer -- Oracle, for example, if you downloaded it from Oracle.

I finally figured that I have a perfect install of Ubuntu therefore don't mess it up. So I downloaded JavaFX as I think they have for some reason left JMF2.1.1e behind, I would still like to have it but it doesn't work so well with 64 java nor 64 Ubuntu as far as I know. I would still like to have the JMF but in a 64 bit form so I''ll call Oracle soon and ask them to uppdate it please to 64.
