mint 16 problem change name workgroup samba 3.6.18

Asked by Gerlof Brinck

THe computer of my wife runs on Mint 16. I have installed samba 3.6.18 to communicate with my computer (ubuntu 12.04) and my old laptop Windows XP. It works fine, but I want to change the name of the workgroup (the name of the other comptergroup is kantoor and only the computer of my wife group; WORKGROUP). It should be easy (i gues) by the line

$ sudo gedit /etc/samba/smb.conf

But the computer gives the following answer:

mint@mint-A780L3C ~ $ sudo gedit /etc/samba/smb.conf
[sudo] password for mint:
sudo: gedit: command not found

Can anybody help me with this?

Thanks beforehand

Gerlof.
