Build of my gst-plugins-good seems to hang during/after dh_gstscancodecs

Asked by William Manley

I'm building a version of gst-plugins-good from Ubuntu Saucy but with some bug-fix patches applied. My PPA is https://launchpad.net/~willmanley/+archive/stb-tester

The build seems to hang during/after dh_gstscancodecs:

https://launchpadlibrarian.net/170676724/buildlog_ubuntu-saucy-i386.gst-plugins-good1.0_1.2.0-2~stbtester2_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

This builds fine on my local amd64 saucy machine in a pbuilder giving output:

...
dh_compress -plibgstreamer-plugins-good1.0-dev
dh_fixperms -plibgstreamer-plugins-good1.0-dev
dh_makeshlibs -plibgstreamer-plugins-good1.0-dev
dh_gstscancodecs

dh_installdeb -pgstreamer1.0-pulseaudio
dh_perl -pgstreamer1.0-pulseaudio
dh_shlibdeps -pgstreamer1.0-pulseaudio
...

My local pbuilder was set up according to the guide https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PbuilderHowto with:

sudo pbuilder create --debootstrapopts --variant=buildd

I'm not sure what I can do to further diagnose this issue. Please advise.
