request to enable ppc64el builds on hardware-certification/public PPA

Asked by Daniel Manrique

Hello, I'd like to request enabling of ppc64el builds on the hardware-certification public PPA [1], needed particularly for servers that are increasingly becoming available.

The public PPA contains stable releases of checkbox and friends, which are on a 2-week cadence, so usually we only upload (and require builds) with that frequency, which should keep load on the builders to a reasonable level. Additionally, only a couple of our binary packages are arch:any, the rest are arch:all and shouldn't tie up resources needlessly.

Also, if ppc64el is enabled, is there a way to trigger rebuilding the existing packages other than uploading a new versions? I see that "WebOps can do this by running "scripts/add-missing-builds.py -v -p hardware-certification --ppa-name=public -a armel -a armhf" as lp_buildd@alphecca." (from this answer: https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/206441). If possible and needed, I'd like to request this as well to have packages ready a bit sooner.

Thanks in advance!
