Change Project into Project Group

As the Ubuntu Online Accounts project, the elementary OS team (on which I am a member) is working on an Online Account framework, as this is a set of multiple subprojects, I would like to change https://launchpad.net/pantheon-online-accounts into a Project group.

It's not possible to turn a project into a project group, but I could rename or remove the existing pantheon-online-accounts project and create a project group in its place. Which option would you prefer?
