Change LP ID (currently abandoned)

I would like to change my Launchpad ID from rcj4747 to rcj (matching my IRC nicks). I have emailed the owner of 'rcj' on the 11th of January to see if the change would be acceptable (no response), on 15th of January (to ask for a reply that they wanted to keep it, no response), and today (to inform them I would open this request). I have received no responses and the LP account does not appear to have been used at all beyond the initial creation.

Could this change be made (rcj4747 -> rcj)? Thank you.
