How do I Confirm sign-only OpenPGP key

Asked by Daniel Espinosa

I've been trying to sign my OpenPGP key; and everything I paste in, it rejects with the following:

There is 1 error.

Launchpad could not verify your signature: (7, 58, u'No data')

I've got to as far as obtaining my public .ssh id's:
Public & Key fingerprint.
All the rest, I haven't figured out yet.
Help is greatly appreciated,
Using Elementary Os Luna.

I'm at awe on how to proceed from this step:

Step 1: Copy the confirmation text from the Launchpad page, paste it into a text editor and then save the file.

Copy "WHAT CONFIRMATIONTEXT"????????

You will have received a confirmation email from Launchpad containing a link to a URL like <https://launchpad.net/token/XXXXXX>. That page will show a confirmation message like "Please register <KEY FINGERPRINT> to the Launchpad user <USERNAME> <TIMESTAMP>". You need to sign that and paste the result into the form, including the '-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----' and '-----END PGP SIGNATURE----' lines.

Can you help with this problem?
