Programmatically accessing translation stats of projects

I'd like to bring statistics about the number of translated strings onto the front page of my project to motivate more people to help translating it. It should look something like the red-green bars on https://translations.launchpad.net/widelands.

I cannot find the API to get to this information though, it seems project has no attribute translations or similar. Is what I want possible without scraping the site?

Translation statistics are not currently exposed in the Launchpad API. If you want to display the data elsewhere you'll have to screenscape.

Wasn't it the goal of https://dev.launchpad.net/Translations/Specs/ReportingAPI?
Now that Launchpad has been brought back to life, is there any hope to see this feature implemented?
