Change my preferred email in login.launchpad.net

Asked by Huang Zhiteng

Dear Sir/Madam,

I'd like to ask help to change prefered email of my account (zhiteng-huang) from zhiteng.huang<at>intel.com to winston.d<at>gmail.com. Couple of months ago, I merged two accounts (using above two emails as prefered email address respectively) which made the intel.com email prefered email address in login.launchpad.net. Now that the intel.com email address is no longer available, I'd like to change the prefered email address in login.launchpad.net to winston.d<at>gmail.com Note that I've already changed the prefered email in https://launchpad.net/~zhiteng-huang but it seems that doesn't affect login.launchpad.net.

Could you please kindly help? Let me know how I can change that by myself or please change for me. Thank you very much!

I am having the same issue. I have changed my e-mail address from gmail to my personal domain, and set the new e-mail as the contact address but it still does not allow me to use the new e-maol for login. Even if I remove the gmail address from the account, I still have to use the gmail address for login.

You can change your login.launchpad.net preferred email address at <https://login.launchpad.net/>.

Thanks William. The user page launchpad.net/~<username> is a bit misleading. Changing e-mail address there does not affect the account e-mail at all. The only way to update the e-mail is the link you mentioned, though the link is not linked in an obvious manner from any page.
