Restore deleted package

Asked by Anna Shipman

We deleted a package and now want to reinstate it. Is it possible to do this? Copying over the package again results in the following error: "binaries conflicting with the existing ones".

Is there a way to change the status from 'Deleted' to 'Published'?

The package we wish to copy again/undelete is nginx 1.4.1-1ppa0~precise.

I can see on https://launchpad.net/~gds/+archive/govuk/+packages?field.name_filter=nginx&field.status_filter=&field.series_filter=precise that the version that was published before was copied from ppa:~teward/nginx-stable-testing, while you just tried to copy the same version in from ppa:~nginx/stable. Those were built separately, so they have different sets of binaries. You can copy again from https://launchpad.net/~teward/+archive/nginx-stable-testing/+copy-packages, or directy undelete the package within your PPA from https://launchpad.net/~gds/+archive/govuk/+copy-packages?field.name_filter=nginx&field.status_filter=superseded&field.series_filter=precise.

Ah! Good spot. We didn't realised we'd copied it from two different places. Thanks very much for the help.
