Appoint "Launchpad Chamorro Translators" to "Launchpad Translators Group"

Asked by Cyrus

Håfa Ådai!

I've seeking to appoint "Launchpad Chamorro Translators" to "Launchpad Translators Group". The team can be found at: https://launchpad.net/~lp-l10n-ch

I've followed the instructions found here: https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/LaunchpadTranslators#StartingTeam.

The only incomplete steps are 1) establishing translation guidelines (most likely by adapting the Launchpad localization guidelines); and 2) setting up some communication channels. We're working on both now, and should have them complete asap.

Please let me know if there's anything additional needed at this juncture.

Si Yu'us Må'åse',

Done. Welcome, and thank you for contributing!

It would be helpful at this point to have plural-forms information about the language. This is very specific information, just for one single purpose: if you need to translate a sentence like "there are X files," how many forms can the translation take depending on what number X represents? And which of those forms should be used for which values of X?

We don't need to know the actual grammar, just these two pieces of information. For example, in English the sentence can take two forms: "there is X file" (if X is one), and "there are X files" (for all other X). This information is difficult to change later, so it takes careful thought. There may be standards already out there, and if so it would be best to stick to those.
