newly added .po(t) files "needs review", but can't approve

Asked by Damien Elmes

My project used to be divided into two separate gettext domains (ankiqt & libanki). Today I merged them into a single domain called anki and pushed the changes in bzr, but both the .pot and .po files are stuck in "Needs Review". I'd like the website to import the new anki domain and remove the old ankiqt and libanki domains if that's possible. Thanks in advance for any help.

Since I posted this the .pot file seems to have been approved, but the .po files have not.

And now the .po files have been approved too. The last remaining problem is that the old libanki and ankiqt projects are still visible, so it's not clear to translators that they should avoid them and only translate the anki project. I can't find an option to delete them on the website, so I'm assuming some manual intervention on your part is required? Thanks again.

It takes a while to auto-approve uploads. The system needs to figure out what template and what language a translation is for, and of course it can't do that until the template has been imported. (Part of the complexity is in the fact that the right template may still be in the queue, or not even uploaded yet, so it just has to keep trying for all unapproved files in the queue.) That's why you see this happening slowly, and in steps.

I just deactivated the libanki and ankiqt templates. We don't have an option to delete them completely, but when you edit a template, you'll see a checkbox labeled “Template is active.” Admins can still see the templates, which can be nice if you ever want them re-enabled for instance.
