libdc1394 project maintenance claim for libdc1394 team

Hi,

Some of us are the developers behind the libdc1394.sf.net (the LP project libdc1394 is pulling from us). We would like to take advantage of the PPA and we build up a team (so far, 2 people) that will take care and maintain it. The problem is that there is no official maintainer in LP. We thought that we have to claim it, if there is anybody that could help us do so.

Moreover, the LP/libdc1394 is pulling from the SourceForge CVS, whereas the current SF project is using SVN (so, there are no updated on the CVS avaialble) and hence the sources available on LP are outdated. We would like also to promote the Version 2 API of the project, which is an improved version over the version 1 that has undergone quite a big rewriting process over 2 years of work. The version 2 can work in parallel with version 1 for a while, and there is no time frame for removing this in the near future, still, it should be considered in the next upstream the inclusion of the Version 2.
