Within a bug report, what happened to detailed descriptions of packages in 'Select a Package' window?

Asked by Book 'em Dano

I can recall that while looking at a bug report and deciding which package to assign the bug to, if one clicked on the 'Choose' link in the 'Package' field and once one typed some input that Launchpad would produce a list of search-related packages and under each package would be a brief description of what the package was. Currently that list with descriptions no longer appears within a bug report, only the titles/names of packages appear. That feature still appears when creating a bug report within Launchpad, but when viewing a bug report that has already been created. What happened to this feature?

Launchpad never properly shows detail descriptions for packages in Ubuntu. We have not yet solved how to show the packages and their descriptions when choosing a package without timing out. 10 of the 16 bugs I see listed on https://bugs.launchpad.net/launchpad/+bugs?field.tag=target-picker are about selecting packages.

Can you help with this problem?
