duplicate email notifications on wiki page change

Asked by Przemek K.

When I subscribe to specs' wiki page and to the spec itself I'm getting duplicate email notifications about the wiki page's updates. First notifications are from <email address hidden> and second are from <email address hidden>.

Thanks for the report. Assigned to TomB as he'll investigate this further.

This isn't really a bug in Launchpad, but rather a confusion resulting from the ability to subscribe both to a wiki page and to a spec referencing it. It's an easy trap to fall into, so I'm converting this into a question so that we have it documented.

Unfortunately, Launchpad isn't aware of the subscription to wiki pages referenced by blueprints. If you prefer not to receive the notification twice, you can unsubscribe yourself from either the wiki page or the blueprint. It might make more sense to unsubscribe from the wiki page, since the subscription to the blueprint will result in more information (changes to the blueprints' status, for example).

Thanks for the answer.
I guess this could be a good reason for making a spec LaunchpadWikiIntegration.
