Can someone merge these accounts for me please?

I no longer have access to the email address for this account.
Can this account be merged with the following account?

Newer account: https://launchpad.net/~ardchoille42
I would like that old account merged into this new account.

I think it would be best to merge the old account into the newer account because the old account has a group membership (Ubuntu cloaked people on freenode) that I need to have in the newer account.

I believe there is now a button to delete the account, but I think you need the email.
Try making a question like:
Please delete my account. and some operator will take care of it.

deleting an account is not merging - ardchoille is in the correct place, doing the correct thing.
